Located on rolling green hills in Newtown, Pennsylvania, Jericho Mountain Beef is new kind of micro cattle ranch producing high-quality authentic American Wagyu and Angus Beef.

Our beef is Different

OUR STORY

At Jericho Mountain we operate under a simple concept: Do the right thing. If it’s good for the herd, it’s going to produce a better product for our customers. We operate on a focused business model which allows for quality controls and the unique opportunity to pay specific attention to each animal’s health and their individual potential.

Most people think of expansive and overcrowded farms in the heartland of our country when they think of cattle production. We’re not that. We saw an immediate need in the marketplace of high-quality beef that could be responsibly raised on our family farm. In 2021, we launched Jericho Mountain Beef in the shadow Jericho Mountain region in southeastern Bucks County, PA.

OUR LAND

Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is an area that has worked tirelessly to strategically preserve open space and active farmland. We chose to build Jericho Mountain Beef on a portion of the Trevellini Preserve, historic farmland that has was originally sold by the sons of William Penn in the 1600's, long before the birth of our great nation.

Long Green grass, rolling hills, open spaces; Jericho Mountain is heaven for humans and nirvana for our cows. Our farm is also home to a family of red foxes, a fierce flock of Guineafowl, roaming herds of White Tail deer, acres of wildflowers and a few beehives.

OUR PROCESS

We focus on the highest quality genetics in our Waygu and Angus cows. Not all are created equal, there are superior bloodlines within these breeds and heritage classes. When we can't sleep at night, we're thinking about cattle, studying weight gains, reviewing our feed and grazing patterns. We hold conferences with other breeders and University programs, talking about breed heritage, and figuring out how to raise the healthiest, happiest beef cows on the planet.

This research showed us that not all cows are created equal, even when on the surface that may be part of the same breed. Each variation can have different flavor profiles, personalities and qualities that when combined correctly can create a better-quality cuts. While Angus is the undisputed champion of the global beef industry, it can be wasted if nutrition and health are not paramount to production. Genetics are all important to responsibly raised specialty cattle. Our efforts yield higher marbling, richer flavors, and more tender meat.

The result you will find surpasses anything you may see or taste from your grocery store or other online source. At the end of the day, we are meat heads, and we operate under a simple concept. Do the right thing. If it is good for the herd it doesn't matter the cost. It will make a better product for our customers, and they will know it when they pick up their knife and fork.

OUR REGION

Bucks County, located between Philadelphia and New York cities has a long cultural history of farming and livestock. It was host to major moments in US history, such as George Washington crossing the Delaware River on December 25, 1776, and home to William Penn in the 1600s.

As we walk our grasslands each morning, we are constantly reminded that we are linked to our past. We are proud to continue a tiny piece of that heritage.

Specialty Items

We are small and because of that can do a lot of things better. If you don’t see a cut that your looking for, we will order it on our next processing. All you have to do is ask. While most of our beef is flash frozen during processing and packaging to preserve maximum flavor and freshness, we can provide fresh cuts for specialty orders. Added bonus, you’ll get to meet us cause we delivery those orders directly to your door.
